Acting- Is it for you?
Acting isn't for everyone. It's alot of work, and you have to love acting in order to be good at it. It's not like a job you can hate and be good at. If you hate acting you are going to suck. But if you love acting, if you truly have a passion for acting, then you have potential for greatness. But with acting, you have to go above and beyond. Rehearsals can consume so much of your time, and if you aren't enjoying them, it affects your state of mind on stage. To truly be a great actor it can't be something you want to do. it has to be something you need to do. If you want to have success as an actor it has to be as natural as breathing, it has to be something you need in order to survive. Acting also requires commitment, as I mentioned earlier, rehearsals can take a big chunk of time. If it's for a play it could take two maybe three hours a day five days a week. Television is a completely different story, if you wanna be on television plan on putting alot of your life aside, cuz it can take ten hours a day seven days a week sometimes. So if you aren't commited to it, if it isn't as essential to you as breathing, then is acting for you? Probably not as a career. But you can still have enormous fun acting, and stepping out of yourself into a whole new world.

This is VERY true :) I've found that I get so dedicated to acting that I lose myself in rehearsals. It's my place of peace and focus. Great post! :)
